ROLE: Senior Software Developer/Architect (Python)
LOCATION: Guildford
SALARY: £55-75k + Stock Options
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, well-funded, early stage software company who are revolutionising the way companies across an entire global industry engage digitally with their consumers. They already have an impressive portfolio of clients in the UK, US and Asia, and have just secured considerable investment to further expansion.
Reporting to the CTO, a highly regarded software veteran, who still codes, you will grow your career as the company, grows.
Their app development is largely outsourced, with the internal dev team focusing on their back-end platform, a modular solution with REST APIs. The tech is powered by Python and Django REST framework (experience of which would be ideal, otherwise will be learned / mentored on the job), they use AWS for hosting their ELB, RDS and S3 services and Ubunto Linux and Salt Cloud to manage instances. They use RabbitMQ, Celery, Develop IOS and Android apps, have a web portal in Angular JS and use Github, Slack, Docker and Jenkins to manage code and deployment. For data analysis they use Python / Jupyter, R, Tensor Flow and Spark.
As you would expect from an accelerating software company, Agile Scrum experience would also be useful as would experience of CI and CD methodologies and an understanding of the associated architecture.
