[ANN] New Slack Group Dedicated to learning Python
#1
Hello all!

Me and a few other Python enthusiasts started a Slack group dedicated to learning Python. All of us know the basics of Python and our goal is to acquire new skills that would help us get jobs as Python developers. Our plan is to collaborate on Python projects to get experience and become Python professionals.

If you are interested send me your email address and I'll send you an invitation to join the group. If you have a Reddit account you can visit our subreddit pystudygroup and PM me your mail for an invitation.

Are you a head hunter? Sound like one collecting email addresses of programmers.

You are right to be cautious. Check out my reddit account and decide for your self: https://www.reddit.com/user/Joe_Anonimist. Anyway you can always send me a throwaway mail address and see what our Slack community looks like.

"our"? There is only one post in r/pystudygroup. Are you an army of one? And what is wrong with r/learnpython, or with this very forum...? Talking between beginners won't make you progress very fast.

And don't forget that real-time things such as Slack is that they limit your audience to your timezone.
Unless noted otherwise, code in my posts should be understood as "coding suggestions", and its use may require more neurones than the two necessary for Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V.

Of course there is nothing wrong with r/learnpython, I spend time there daily. And this forum seems like a good place for people interested in Python. On the other hand I don't see a person participating in more than community a disadvantage. Our Slack group currently has ~70 members and we have excellent communication.
