Android app to collect data
#1
Presently I record details from an inverter and other power equipment each day. It is all a paper/pen exercise. Looking to build a Python app that can collect the data on a Samsung Galaxy and then be able to export the data into a spreadsheet format for uploading onto a Kubuntu laptop.

Looking for advice on what tool/s should I use for building the app; also do I build it on the Kubuntu box and then simply install it on the Android ? There are many resources showing different tools, such as:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4995...-in-python

https://medium.com/@umerfarooq_26378/too...60663972b4

https://realpython.com/mobile-app-kivy-python/

It's a very simple app, possibly no more than 12 to 15 fields to enter the data, just like some sort of form data entry I guess. Then a function to export the data. Please advise what tool/s would be best suited for this project.

Have decided to use BeeWare . The documentation is very good, there is support via an Gitter IM channel, and walking through the installation and tutorials is easy (so far, ..lol ). A few commands and a GUI app created already.
