What is the meaning of BASH in linux ?

It is just the name of a shell interpreter (the most common one on Linux systems). See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bash_(Unix_shell)
Unless noted otherwise, code in my posts should be understood as "coding suggestions", and its use may require more neurones than the two necessary for Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V.

BASH (released 1989) was a free replacement for the Bourne shell, and
I think initially it was Bourne  Again SHell.
