dear python experts

good day: today i do not have a python question.

Can I use GitHub as free unlimited cloud storage?

well i guess no

btw: I have found out the following:
https://help.github.com/articles/what-is-my-disk-quota/
https://help.github.com/articles/about-s...dth-usage/

conclusion: well - i guess that the github folders are public unless to pay for service?

but wait: What about Bitbucket:

this seems to be a good idea - Bitbucket has free private repos.

love to hear from you
yours buddy

Basically yes.

Its technically suppose to be for code, but i have numerous repos that are solely obvious cloud storage; such as one being family photos i think.

However since June-ish Microsoft owns Github. So it wouldnt surprise me that they add a report button on repos.

I also have the same in Bitbucket for the sole purpose of private repos as well.

Technically they could shut down your account and/or remove the content. However i have never had a problem....at least before Microsoft owned it.

What problems have you had since Microsoft bought it?

There just haven't been enough time since Microsoft bought it to determine if there will be a problem. I just mean to say that the years before they did own it there was not a problem. I couldnt say for sure whether there would be after Microsoft, only before.

DC stores their legal code on github, see this interesting article about a pull request changing the law (it is only a minor change and a typo correction in essence, but still.)
