Can't start IDLE
#1
I installed Python (python-3.7.3-macosx10.9.pkg) and it was working just fine yesterday. I have Mac OS X Version 10.9.5. But today I am getting the message:

IDLE’s subprocess didn’t make a connection. other IDLE can’t start a subprocess or personal firewall software is blocking the connection.

As long as python still works from the command line, use this as an opportunity to try different IDEs :)

I can run Python programs from a Terminal window.

Using other IDEs would be a good idea except that PyCharm quits, and so does the the Eclipse installer.

So my IDE is TextEdit and Terminal. :(

I wrote my first programs on punch cards, so TextEdit and Terminal is a step up from that.

I still can't run PyCharm or load Eclipse, but IDLE is working today. I haven't updated anything or made any changes.

My computer needs a new computer.

Does pycharm give any errors?
I don't have a mac, so I can't offer suggestions that "fit", but Visual Studio Code is pretty good: https://code.visualstudio.com/
