Community/Team Projects?
#1
My learning curve is seeming to flat line, not because of lack of research, but from the constant effort of improving what's currently written, understanding why it's written the way it is as well as better ways to type out the code. I understand I can move on to new libraries to try and learn to improve and build upon the application I currently have in progress, but I am working with what I have to make it as well as can be (basically stand-alone and stable) for the time being. Again, all this is while I continue to work with the same code and find better means of executing specific functions or methods.

With such an introduction, my question is: Does anyone know any good active chat communities that have people looking to start group/team projects using python? I've been dying to find someone to work with on the side for fun and education, but the town I live in; it's very hard to find someone that likes to code, moreover, code on their free-time.

I've told myself when I began getting better at coding and learning to code, that my ultimate goal to begin some sort of consulting business moving upwards to software. Sadly, I still feel kind of far from these two goals, but I would love to find someone with (maybe) the same desire/goal.

if your url location is accurate, you must be near Lubbock Tx,
If that's the case, you can take a look at: https://www.meetup.com/cities/us/tx/lubb...GPacYaKh62
and: https://www.meetup.com/Lubbock-Software-...nt-Meetup/
Perhaps there's something of interest there.
also maybe: https://pyslackers.com/

I've heard of meetup, but only through/on facebook so I didn't know that was its own thing. PySlacker though; Never heard of it, but I did sign up and it seems to be closest to what I am looking for. Thanks.

We have started community projects in the past. Its mostly occurs when two or more people from the forum here want to write some specific program though.

Ive never had much luck in finding people in person. Usually its an online community such as this forum, reddit, or other forum about some specific element
