Go/Weiqi/Baduk set
#1
Sometimes i get the urge to make physical objects. An urge that programming cannot itch. I made a home made go set because i didnt want to cough up 140 bucks for a bamboo one online. Spent 16 on materials instead. Although it took me like 5 days of free time to do. But a home made one is so much better anyways than something just bought.

The pieces are made out of numerous 1" dowels with the tip stuck in a 1/2" round-over router bit and then chopped off with a miter box. Sanded with 120/220 to smooth them out. painted and then sprayed polyurethane to protect the paint job. The board is plywood with a pigment pen for crisp lines with polyurethane over top of that. I will probably at some point put molding around the edge to fancy it up, as well as bowls for the pieces, but sometimes later in the future.

Nice done
It's always better to do it yourself. As I know how the prices are made...
And the feeling when all is done.
