Looking to hear the thoughts of Python developers

Excuse my first post being "spammy" but hopefully this is something you'll be interested in. (I checked with one of the moderators. ichabod801, before posting).

We've launched our biannual independent developer survey "State of the Developer Nation", some of you may have already heard of it.

We'd love to hear more from Python developers and your thoughts on platforms, APIs, libraries and more. 

We have lots of goodies to giveaway after the survey in a prize draw including a MeccaNoid G15 KS, an Oculus Rift headset, a Pixel Phone, Udemy courses and Raspberry Pi's to name a few. 

Every developer also receives a personal Developer Scorecard showing how your responses compare to other developers’ in your country plus a copy of the free State of the Developer Nation report (Here's the last one bit.ly/2hEiSWv) with the key findings from the survey (due Feb 2017). We've had feedback from developers saying that they've learnt from taking the survey.

You know what my major complaint about these sorts of surveys is? There's no indication of how long the survey is. There's no "3 out of x", or "25% complete" or anything. And after answering 3ish questions and clicking "next" a few times, only to see another page full of questions, I just immediately bail because I don't want to spend all day answering questions.

Valid feedback nilamo. Calculating the % remaining is really hard, as the length of the survey varies depending on respondents' choices. As a result, we found in previous surveys that the progress bar appeared to suddenly jump from e.g. 5% to 80% and as such was useless and misleading.

There is an opportunity for you to save the survey so you can go back later when you have more time, but of course, that's totally up to you.
