MySQL problems

Our goal is to have 0 downtime and any downtime is bad. We are trying to resolve the situation on another private thread due to sensitive information.

How you can help as a user is to post information here. It might be useful to know when, how often it occurs, what the actual error is, if there is a common action that ignites a specific error, etc. Especially as settings get changed.

Feel free to leave suggestions if you are knowledgeable in mysql.

Just got another one:

Output:
MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue. SQL Error:     2002 - Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) Query:     [READ] Unable to connect to MySQL server Please refresh the page, and try again. If this does not work refresh the page in 5 minutes. If all else fails please contact an admin on IRC to inform them of this error.
Refreshing the page worked

Another one. I got it using the back button from the google results thread.

Quote:SQL Error:
1053 - Server shutdown in progress
Query:
SELECT 1 FROM mybb_threads WHERE replies = 0 AND visible = 1 AND closed NOT LIKE 'moved|%' LIMIT 501

We have been having a lot of mysql errors lately. Different ones. 99% of the time the problem is resolved by simply refreshing the page. The other 1% of the time mysql may actually crash and will be restarted within 5 minutes.

On getnew 10th use (may be significant, but doubt that it is): worked after refresh

Output:
MyBB SQL Error MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

Then slowed to a crawl!

Again 11-17-2016 2:15 P.M. EDT

Trying: http://python-forum.io/search.php?action=getdaily

Same internal error 2002 -Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
Unable to connect

worked on refresh
