Need advice for developing cross platform desktop app
#1
I want to develop an app in Python.
In Python because I assumed would be best for cross platform - will work PC, Mac and Linux.

The app is a graphical one and needs graphics that stay on top of the screen all the time.
It needs to read and display things like user name and ISP network information.
If the ISP network information displays specific information, then the internet connection needs to be stopped.

It's super simple, but there's a lot to it. I kept the above brief as possible.

Are there any issues I'll face with the above?

I've already developed the entire solution in something else for Windows.
I wanted to switch development to Python - solely for cross platform.

Python graphics - I spoke to a freelancer, he told me they sucked. Disappointing, but I can live with.

Just looking for advice and guidance. If it's a bad idea... I wont consider the cross development and will develop for each platform instead.

Thanks.
