Parsing a series of PDF bills into CSV or MySQL
#1
Hi

First time posting. I was about to post on one of the freelance boards, but - holding my hand up - I don't really know what I'm doing. I've been trying to teach myself Python using Al Sweigart book Automate the Boring Stuff.

I have a task that I need to automate. I've got a series of telephone bills that are in PDF format. They are all in the same format / layout. They can all be read using PyPDF2 so aren't in an unreadable format. My task is to read through the invoices, a different one for each of the sites that we manage, and collate the services provided to each site into either a CSV file, or MySQL database so that we can quickly work out the budget for each site.

I've run out of skill to do this and given that the time to do it manually would be enormous and error prone, I thought I'd ask a freelancer if they could do it for me.

Any advice about posting this on a recommended freelance site, or does someone want to take this on?

Kind Regards

Griff
