Problem Installing rasterio

I am trying to install rasterio but get the following error:

Attempting uninstall: pyparsing
Found existing installation: pyparsing 1.5.6
ERROR: Cannot uninstall 'pyparsing'. It is a distutils installed project and thus we cannot accurately determine which files belong to it which would lead to only a partial uninstall.

I don't know why it wants to uninstall anything but how do I fix this? TIA.

Never mind. I decided not to use rasterio.
