It's not that I feel rampant swearing is either necessary or should be tolerated, but word filters are archaic. We don't need a filter to protect us from "inappropriate" language. I've played many online games with similar filters and they never serve their purpose (there is always a way to circumvent them to get your message across) and always inhibit communication.

One of the more funny cases being in RO where players couldn't actually type "assassin" despite it being a class in the game.

I think metulburr is the author of Word Filters,so give it to him Naughty
Just edit/delete word the list in ACP if you find a word you need like "ass".
Now one care to much about this Wink

I never liked the censorship. The words are not bad or dirty but the meaning we attach the them. If one stops another to use some words the second one always will find a way to say what he/she wants in other way.
Also, I've not seen so far someone to use inappropriate language here.
