The PSF awarded $170,000 grant from Mozilla Open Source Program to improve sustainability of PyPI
For over a year now has Warehouse has been running,the PyPi replacement.
But there has not been resusses to make the change finally.
So maybe in a while there will be a close down to PyPi and move to Warehouse.
I while back Mozilla also gave $200 000 to PyPy,for Python 3.5 support(which now is done).
Nice to that their requirements for giving the money was to develop Python 3.5 or higher.
