SeePy and Loge - easy and fast dynamic report generation with Python
#1
Welcome all python user! I’m new on this forum.

Please find two projects I have been working on for some time.

SeePy
https://bitbucket.org/lukaszlaba/seepy/wiki/Home

Loge
https://bitbucket.org/psv_team/loge
https://loge.readthedocs.io

Both programs are similar. The diferent is that SeePy is based on Python2&pyqt4 and Loge is based on Python3&pyqt5. So if you are Python2 user choose SeePy, if Python3 choose Loge.

What those programs could be use for? This is very original idea in python for text like report generation. I would say it could be same alternative for Jupyter - and that why those idea was created. Jupyter output format wasn't this what I looking for. This idea can be used in many ways. I use it as mathcad replacement for my engineering calculation.

You can use it to create reports ready for publication. It use .py file format. All additional syntax is hidden inside python comments so the python engine does not see it, this is still python standard code file you can execute. Comments are based on easy to use Markdown language syntax.

SeePy (based on py2 and pyqt4) was created as the first one about one year ago. Loge (based on py3 and pyqt5) has been just released.

Please find more information on those projects web sites.

Here is quick video presentation of Loge

I hope this idea will interest you. Any comments and opinions are welcome.
