Sound activated command
#1
Hello, I am relatively new to Python but I do know some basics. If it were possible, it would be great if someone could lead me in the right direction to solve my problem. I need a script that recognizes a sound input from an external source, a pretty specific, unique sound signature, such as a mic or other device that is connected directly to the computer, and as soon as it recognizes an audio queue, it performs a simple command, such as press a.

Once again I’m relatively new to Python so I probably won’t understand everything that is probably common knowledge to a more experienced programmer

It is a step in the right direction but I need the program to recognize the intonation of a tone.
