Using command prompt on windows 10
#1
Hi all ! I am a beginner with windows, and I am unable to see what a directory contains. That is I look for the equivalent of "ls" on linux. Another trouble is: I never succeeded to "find" something. Thanks

The equivalent of the ls command for Windows cmd is dir.
Anyway, you can run bash on Windows now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzgwDbe7foQ&t=278s

I'm not sure telling someone struggling with the basics of Windows to enable Developer mode just to get a few, limited use bash commands is the best advise.
If it ain't broke, I just haven't gotten to it yet.
OS: Windows 10, openSuse 42.3, freeBSD 11, Raspian "Stretch"
Python 3.6.5, IDE: PyCharm 2018 Community Edition

If he's a Linux user, he'll be fine. He already knows not to mess with stuff if he's not certain what they do. Or at least I hope so.
