VS Code missing in Anaconda
#1
Hey guys,

I downloaded Anaconda and according to one of my textbooks it should contain VS Code. It doesn't though. Anyone know why and can I add it to Anaconda Navigator? Please know I am a bloody beginner (in everything related to computers, haha)

Not just VS Code, but also Pycharm are not available as conda packages/applications. (They are not installable via conda.) However, if you have installed VSCode or PyCharm on your system, Navigator v1.9.12 should show a tile on the home screen to launch them. In Navigator v1.9.7 there were special steps taken to go get and install VSCode & the anaconda-extension-pack - but this was removed in v1.9.12 for a variety of reasons.

There is no problem to install VS Code yourself and use it with Anaconda.
