blocking presidential alert
#1
So i just got this stupid alert from dumbass on Android. I am now on a mission to try to disable it. Is there anyway to get into Android if you rooted your phone to disable presidential alerts? I really dont want to hear his propaganda without my explicit permission

what is presidential alert? probably you just allowed some site/app to access notifications. You need to identify the app and remove permissions

ahaaaaaaaa.... That's something new, I didn't know
I checked, even I (outside US) have that one as an option on Android. Not that I expect to receive alert

Without using a custom version of Android, I'd be surprised if you could block it. I think it's using the same channels as emergency broadcasts/amber alerts.

For those who didn't see it, it looked identical to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Hawai...sile_alert

...but with different words lol

On my phone it's also selected and disabled (i.e. cannot opt-out)
