browser tab form

What are other alternatives?

These are optional but i just havent done them yet to know 100% sure that it would work without a problem.

No alternatives for me except what I've voted for.
I usually keep opened between 40-80 tabs so almost all tab text is hidden.

But the text of the active tab is also your title bar... And with the current format the visible part of your tabs only shows a unread count, and is a bit useless to help you figure out what the page contains.
Unless noted otherwise, code in my posts should be understood as "coding suggestions", and its use may require more neurones than the two necessary for Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V.

he wouldnt be able to read them anyways regardless of what the format is without mouse hover

If I keep the forum in a tab opened its good enough for me to see if there are new posts in the tab title. I don't care if I can't see the rest of the title because all sites are using these little tiny favicons and I always know which tab for which site is.
