I told you to put this in a file not to tun in like any other command

I put "HISTSIZE=10" at the bottom of a file. File works well. It tells nothing about "HISTSIZE=10"

What are you expecting to tell you?
Did you look at the link I posted previously?
Actually, it should be export HISTSIZE=0.

Also, if you want a command not to be stored in history just put a space before it.

Very hard to understand. Did you try the "administrated" lambda ? Can you limit the number of possible commands, to ten ???

I didn't try anything. I don't use Windows so I don't have Cygwin installed. I don't use bash either. Almost.
