While attempting to install 32-bit Python 2.7.15 on a colleague's new Windows 10 PC, while "Updating component registration" as reported by the installation program, we see the error "The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file." This happens even if she just reboots, logs on and tries to install it herself without doing anything else first. She is an administrator on her own PC. We see no "Run as Administrator" option when we right-click on the installer in Windows Explorer. We do see an Install option. We don't know what the file is that is locked or what process has it locked. The installation program is https://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.7.15...2.7.15.msi. Same thing happens if we run the installer from a Command Prompt running as administrator. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks! - Mike
