Full Version: Is sharing a link to your blog a violation of the rules?

I haven't seen the blog but have said its ok to post a link to it in the bar on the understanding that if it does violate the rules on this forum, it will be removed.

Personally i think the tutorials submission would be the best place for this. Its tutorial type content. I dont have a problem with users posting tutorials in submission section. However it has to be approved to be switched over to the main tutorials by the team.

However i am not big on links to blogs. I would rather it reposted to the forums. No offense but your blog is only days old, and a lot of times links become dead. If its on the forum, then we reduce dead links years from now.

Im also moving this thread from bar to board as the topic pertains to requesting permission. If others have the same question, it would be easier for them to find our discussion about it here.
I guess it's not a problem to edit the own signature and add a link to the own blog.
Look at my example. But I remove it later.
The benefit is, that the user itself is responsible for the link.
