I bought a copy, and on quick scan, it looks to be chock full of goodies, including a
chapter on sources for raster, vector, GeoNetNameServer, and GNIS (Geographic Names Information System)

Thanks for the info. It's an atractive title, but reviews on Amazon aren't very favourable. Funny thing is 2nd edition has a lot more positive reviews.

I have read the first two chapters, and find it to have good coverage. So far, it appears
to be well written. It's too early to really tell.
