I added another plugin "YourCode" whihc replaces default MyBB MyCode in the Admin CP. It allows for a number of additional options for BBcode including but not limited to usergroup restriction for a bbcode. This could in theory bypass as well some of the other plugins we have such as limiting link tags to user groups, etc.

But the main goal of it was to restrict the mod tag to mods only. a regular user if put these tags in, will just disappear. However a team member can use them in their posts, or edit a regular users post and add them. In the example below the user metulburr_testing is in "User" usergroup, which denies him the ability to use those tags. Even quoting a mods post will remove them from the quote. 

Moderator: test
Moderator metulburr: test

blah blah

Moderator metulburr: updated

Moderator metulburr: Nice!!!
