i am trying to identify the forum software running here.

can my friends help?  or maybe my enemies?

These Ubuntu guys are not stupid. They will hardly go to find the hot water. The software reference is in the source of the web page:

d'oh .... i should have looked there. no idea why i didn't think of looking at the html source.

i was curious because of so many bugs and misbehaviors on that site. i want to set up a forum, but that software to be avoided. maybe MyBB. i'd rather have something written in python.
