Hello!

We are a team of students and researchers from the Delft University of Technology. We're assessing the effectiveness of ML-based auto-completion models. One might know completion plugins such as CoPilot, Kite, Tabnine, and other extensions. These plugins, however, collect a lot of data and do not share any usage statistics. We want to evaluate if these models are viable in practice and what is required to make them viable.

To do this we have developed an open-source IDE extension (VSC & PyCharm) called "Code4Me". Code4Me will provide you with intelligent code suggestions based on your development context. To collect developers' assessments of our plugin, we are asking for volunteers (18+ GDPR) willing to install and use our plugin. To know more or to download the plugin, please visit https://code4me.me/ or respective marketplaces.

We collect minor and anonymous data to evaluate the plugin and the respective models used.

We're happy to hear any feedback that we might have to incorporate within the plugin, code improvements, and hopefully garner some volunteers willing to try the plugin out. Including if you have any reasons to not use these services.

Love to hear your thoughts!
