In defense of jefsummers, he did include

@deanhystad
I do not post complete finished products on this forum, especially this subgroup, as many questions are obviously homework even though not so labelled. It is my opinion that this particular thread is an example of this. I posted a code fragment to demonstrate a particular approach. If that makes you believe I need classes, let me reassure you a bit - I have two Python projects published in medical journals where I did statistical analyses and predictions using Pandas, TensorFlow, sklearn, matplotlib, etc. I can program. I just don't post full scripts he could turn in.

I come to this forum as a professional educator (medical school department chair) because I like helping people along. I take offense at your comment on what is generally a supportive forum.

And, I do typically include a comment about the noted deficit in code posted, to help the learner know where is the next step.
@jefsommers, your are caught in a failed attempt at humor. I responded to a post where I suggested the OP should take a Python class or work through some tutorials since they did not appear to have much familiarity with conditional statements or loops. You snuck in a post while I was writing mine. Since I did not use "reply" it was not obvious to whom my comments were directed. Larz60 read the thread and thought I was replying to your post. I corrected the error by adding a reference and quipped with what I thought was an excess of irony that you obviously need to take some Python programming classes. That has gone over as well as most of my attempts at humor. Sorry for the confusion.

Unless you are playing me. If so, bravo sir. Bravo!

@jefsummers Sorry that you felt offended, @deanhystad has apologised, he did not intend any offence and has vowed to be more careful in the future.
No problem. When communication is only by typing miscommunication is too easy.
