I added another plugin. I was actually looking to fix something else and i got sidetracked. 

This allows comments on profile, profile views, buddy list info, etc.

You know more stuff to make it like a paid forum such as vBulletin ...for free  :D

There actually already is an option to turn on thread based mode on a per user basis. I wont do this globally because most people want linear. Its in the top right link of a thread

Also note mybb 2.0 they are abandoning thread mode completely due to its lack of interest from people. So whenever we upgrade (years ahead) there will be no more thread mode option at all.
