the Facebook crawler has scraped the site on October 6.

I just forced it to scrape the preview image again via https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug based on info from here https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sha...rs/crawler and now it does not show the old preview, but no preview at all and also shows some warnings.

The forum was hacked a couple weeks ago
1) Maybe the snapshot was mid hack or
2) facebook happened to get their snapshot during the hack

By the way, according to this https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sha...ers#markup it is good to add some meta tags in order to fill in open graph properties. They are missing now and looks like hacker had them (based on the screenshot). we don't have og:description and og:image open graph properties

i think they might be warnings as to why their crawler cant get the proper image....such as the python forum logo and such.
Quote:Inferred PropertyI have no idea at the moment how to implement facebook friendly tags.
The 'og:image' property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Missing Properties
The following required properties are missing: og:url, og:type, og:title, og:image, og:description, fb:app_id
