earth&us is based in Auroville, an international township in Southern India which constitutes a unique experiment in human history. Auroville has been founded standing on the core values of human unity, progress and innovation both on a spiritual and manifested level.
An environment like no other, Auroville allows us to approach projects which are truly meant for the common good, outside of the commercial logics that keeps creating unsustainable compromises and false needs.
At earth&us we keep our focus on environmental sustainability and social development through trans-disciplinary research and action.
We are developing an application for measuring the Ethical Consumer Rating of products and companies by processing vast volumes of related and relevant digital information. Consumers are increasingly interested in the social, environmental and health impact of the products they buy and use. Presently, there is no comprehensive rating system available that evaluates these various aspects.
We are looking for a full time person to be based from Auroville to help with designing the web-crawling system to collect product information.
We can provide basic stipend until the prototype is built and we have raised some funding.
