Can we have the chat recognize logged in users and set their irc name to their forum name?  I just slid in there right quick and had a random name assigned (which is fine for people who aren't members).

I'm just thinking that if it's something that we want to have commonly available, it's a slight hassle to rename yourself every time you dive in...
Most of the time regular IRC users will install a client, not use a browser based one. I more or less added that toplink to help sway new users to chat, as they are really bad at reading the forum rules and instructions on help. I could easily change it to where the user chooses a name before joining...but i wanted to make it simple to new users that never have used IRC before and just want help.

lol, So would that complicate the process by choosing a username, rather than going and getting a random one?
I changed this so you should join as your forum username
