Hello!
First of, what distribution do you use?
The simplest way to start a program as user login is to do it as adding at the end of .bashrc which is located in the user home directory, a line
........... libreofficeThe dots represent the rest of the file

Normally i try to keep my startups cleared because i dont want crap to run automatically. NOTE: If you use this method and you have libreoffice closed, every time you open a new terminal, libreoffice starts
