Actually, those use cases are probably not going to be impacted by this. Your web browser and most things using AWS are much more vulnerable. It's when two or more bits of code that don't trust each other are on the same machine. The nuclear arsenals are probably very good about not running untrusted code. Your browser tries to sandbox untrusted code, however it makes assumptions about the underlying hardware that have turned out to not be reliable. This forum is likely vulnerable to the issue as well, though we're not unique and I know metulburr has already done a kernel upgrade.
