Junior to mid-level Python developer required by a small dynamic prop trading firm to assist in workflow automation and creation of new trading systems.
The successful candidate will work with a small but global team of traders and a quantitative analyst. The candidate with be guided and mentored by a senior, highly experienced developer but will have free reign to propose tools and solutions.
The candidate must have a strong desire to learn, to perfect their Python programming skills and must have a keen curiosity for new techniques and technologies.
The candidate will be expected to carry out some trader and desktop support tasks with additional on-call duties when needed.
This would be a great opportunity for a Python developer looking to get into London FinTech and up their game.
The candidate must be located and legally able to work in the UK.
Essential requirements:
=======================
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
3+ years experience in Python programming in an enterprise environment.
Experience programming on both Windows (desktop and server) and Linux platforms.
Knowledge of modern Python packaging and distribution techniques.
Knowledge of asynchronous programming techniques.
Socket and websocket programming.
Experience working with JSON/BSON and document databases.
Modern Javascript, HTML, CSS
Sphinx and reStructured
Experience providing desktop support.
Bonus requirements:

Experience in FinTech, particularly familiarity with FIX
SQL
Basic Windows Desktop and Server administration
C or C++

Salary GBP 40 - 50k, possibly higher depending on fit and experience. + Discretionary
