Medium subscription - pcsailor - Nov-04-2018 Hi, Anyone have a medium subscription? How do you like it? I'm considering it as I've run up against the paywall a few months in a row now. Thanks, Phil RE: Medium subscription - Larz60+ - Nov-04-2018 ??? RE: Medium subscription - pcsailor - Nov-04-2018 medium.com RE: Medium subscription - Larz60+ - Nov-04-2018 Interesting site, but I would think there are sites offering same or similar for free. RE: Medium subscription - pcsailor - Nov-04-2018 No disrespect Larz, but I'm guessing you don't know the background of Medium. It was started by Ev Williams and has some of the best writing on the internet. Test for yourself by searching for any subject. They're doing some good stuff sourced from all over the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medium_(website) RE: Medium subscription - ichabod801 - Nov-04-2018 If you think it's so good, why aren't you willing to pay $5 a month for it? That doesn't seem very steep. RE: Medium subscription - pcsailor - Nov-05-2018 Easy answer: new daughter, high medical bills, high food bills, paying two mortgages, new career making 1/3 what I used to. Saving $$ every way I can. Question answered? RE: Medium subscription - ichabod801 - Nov-05-2018 Yes, I think you answered your own question. RE: Medium subscription - pcsailor - Nov-06-2018 python and IB on Medium.com This link is an example of why I ask. With Mediums free version, you can only access 5 stories a month, even if they're bad. Once you open it, it counts. This is just one subject of some very high quality, specific things peole are publishing on Medium. I'm going to have to get a subscription, but not just yet. Phil |
