Code boot camps - TrueStudentOfPython - Nov-14-2018

Hey there,

I was just wanting to know if anyone had some
experience with coding boot camps?

Thank you!

No first hand experience. I knew someone at a previous company who went to one. From that, and the little bit I recall from looking at LinkedIn results of one bootcamp - they're useful for taking someone who already has a bachelor's degree and pivoting to front-end development, usually at a small startup, if you have the cash and time.

If you're considering it yourself, I'd go to linkedin.com/alumni and look at the outcomes for that specific one, maybe even contact alumni. You might find (contrary to my memory) that the alumni for that school are getting dev jobs without a prerequisite BA/BS.

I'd say they're a risk, but it looks like there are people who have had it pay off.
