RE: Profanity censoring. - Mekire - Jan-01-2017 Yeah, I found the word list too. It needs to be turned off. RE: Profanity censoring. - Larz60+ - Jan-02-2017 I'm for removal RE: Profanity censoring. - ichabod801 - Jan-02-2017 I see no "need" for it being removed, but I don't really care either way. We don't need a filter to protect us from "inappropriate" language. I've played many online games with similar filters and they never serve their purpose (there is always a way to circumvent them to get your message across) and always inhibit communication. One of the more funny cases being in RO where players couldn't actually type "assassin" despite it being a class in the game. RE: Profanity censoring. - snippsat - Jan-02-2017 I think metulburr is the author of Word Filters,so give it to him Just edit/delete word the list in ACP if you find a word you need like "ass". Now one care to much about this Or be creative. pain in the anal pain in the _anal RE: Profanity censoring. - Mekire - Jan-02-2017 (Jan-02-2017, 02:04 AM)snippsat Wrote: Just edit/delete word the list in ACP if you find a word you need like "ass".Yes, I've already done this. Or we could just delete the filter because it is infantile. RE: Profanity censoring. - micseydel - Jan-02-2017 Circumvention: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyBH5oNQOS0 RE: Profanity censoring. - wavic - Jan-02-2017 I never liked the censorship. The words are not bad or dirty but the meaning we attach the them. If one stops another to use some words the second one always will find a way to say what he/she wants in other way. Also, I've not seen so far someone to use inappropriate language here. |
