Hiring Python Dev, remote - allpurposeben - Jan-14-2021 Watchman Monitoring is hiring a Python Developer to work on either our client-side Mac or Linux/Synology agents, depending on interest and skill set. The ideal candidate will have strong grasp of Python 2 and 3, as well as git fundamentals. This position will focus on development for macOS, common Linux distributions and Synology DSM/SRM platforms. Extended knowledge of some or all of these platforms is a plus, including filesystem layout, application structure, init/service management systems, and platform specific APIs. In addition to core python and platform specific skills, extra consideration would be made for those who have backgrounds in: – PyObjC – Swift – Repository maintenance (deb, rpm, etc) and packaging Watchman Monitoring’s development office is located in Baton Rouge. Preference is given to local candidates, but this job can be done in a fully remote fashion. At this time, we are not sponsoring visa applications.
