RE: New Users Introduce Yourself - Imissmyflock - Jun-19-2019

Hi, I am new to python and coding in general.

Welcome Imissmyflock. Coding is the art of persuading a computer to do what you want. Python is one of the less painful ways of doing this. Have fun in this journey!

Good morning! I've been programming since the late 90's but am a recent explorer in the world of Python.

Over the last few years, most of the work I've done (research and education) has been in MATLAB but I'm very curious about Python for both of those purposes.

I was incredibly excited to find the Python forums (yesterday). I've been a part of other forums when trying to learn other tools and the community was invaluable.

Thank you!

Jon

Find the appropriate forum to post your question in. Click on that forum in the list of forums. That will take you to a page with a list of threads (conversations) like this one. At the top of that list of threads, on the right, is a "Post Thread" button. That will create a new thread/conversation/subject.

Please check out the help topics on how to ask a good question.

Figured I might as well use my first post to introduce myself.

Hi! My name is Jan.

I recently got into python after finding out that coding is pretty fun.

Other than python the only other language I use is SQL.
