We are looking for a qualified Python Developer to work with our client Bank of America in NYC. This is a 18 month contract opportunity and job details are below:
Job Description
Looking for a talented senior developer to join our front office SET development team in NY. Quartz is revolutionizing the way Global Markets does business at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Quartz will be the primary platform for pricing trades, managing positions, and computing risk exposure. Working alongside traders, the role will be to develop strategic and tactical pricing tool mainly for the G10 Interest Rate Swaps products.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for this role are:
- Working part of a team to develop pricing applications for trading
- Migration of tactical analytic tools onto strategic python based infrastructure and managing the existing pricing infrastructure
- Client relation management with users in the business
- Taking ownership on end-to-end deliverables
Requirements
Essential:
- Excellent development experience on Python with additional understanding on any other OO technology
- The desire to work in a test driven software development environment that relies on iterative feedback and places emphasis on peer reviews
- Good understanding of Rates and other Fixed Income products (IRS, Futures, etc..)
- Good understanding Yield Curves and bootstrapping of curves
- Excellent communication skills
