Just noticed this (and yes, it was talked about in "First impressions....").

Is it controlled by the "Hide me from the Who's Online list" checkbox in the UCP? (hard to check with a SM id).

I changed my settings to hide me and then went to an unread read thread

im not 100% but i think it only hides you from whos online list at the bottom of the index (who is online at this current point in time)

I just realized the star besides someones name means they are invisible...but not to us.. Cool
This star is on the whos online list and whos been on today list...but not on the whos read this thread list in each thread.
