You've posted partial code, so there isn't a line 42 in what you've posted. In any case, what have you done to try and work that out?

okay well i don't understand how there could be in error in that code if almost the exact same code is used two lines up.

In the code you've posted, line 8 looks like the one where the
TypeError is raised. Line 6 looks nothing like it.You seem to be missing the point really. You have a value that's None and need to work out why that is, because that will guide you towards how to fix that problem.
