Data sets comparison

Hello,

I want to compare some basketball player statistics. I have two different data sets, one with players original stats and another one with some new stats they've got later on in the season. I want to find out if the players personally scored higher or lower in the second data set compared to their original stats in the first data set.

Is this possible to do with large data sets?
I have no idea where to start with this project, so any advice will be much appriciated!
