.remove() method in for-loop

Why not doing like this?
>>> sw = ['go', 'bo', 'bo', 'bo', 'bo']
>>> for i in range(0, sw.count("bo")):
...     sw.remove("bo")
... 
>>> sw
['go']
Well, ichabod was faster and more clever using while-loop
