One possible way:
- Pre-compute how much heartbeats/breaths you have at the age limits given
- Given an age:
- find the age category,
- add the pre-computed data for the lower bound of the category to heartbeats/breaths between that lower bound and the actual age.
Unless noted otherwise, code in my posts should be understood as "coding suggestions", and its use may require more neurones than the two necessary for Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V.
