Looking for a flashcards app to improve my english vocabulary, I came across the Mnemosyne project. It is written in Python and PyQt4 and it runs nicely on my ubuntu machine. For me it runs in python 2 because I installed the Ubuntu package but apparently if you download the tarball, it's python>=3.5 and PyQt5. I like this breed of finished python apps because one can easily tweak their behavior by adding small hooks in the code.
