Using index as a part of a variable name is extremely inefficient - and un-needed - since you have lists
BTW,
numbers = [0] * 24 char_list = [chars[0]] * 24You write a lot of code that masks your intention
BTW,
chars[<index>]
returns a string of 1 character, second index is redundant
Test everything in a Python shell (iPython, Azure Notebook, etc.)
- Someone gave you an advice you liked? Test it - maybe the advice was actually bad.
- Someone gave you an advice you think is bad? Test it before arguing - maybe it was good.
- You posted a claim that something you did not test works? Be prepared to eat your hat.
