Strange behavior

Had the same problem, only different :-) . Mine involved a wireless mouse, but it still exhibited sporadic behavior. As you say, the indicator showed the battery as good, so I thought I had a problem with the OS, then thought I had somehow installed a virus, then I thought maybe  Martians.  Then I swapped it out with a wired mouse and problem solved. As with the keyboards, the mouse is now in a box waiting for future historians to discover it.
